Dicky P. Simorangkir
First Advisor/Founder – Board of Trustee of Yayasan Tropenbos Indonesia, Dicky Simorangkir is the Director for Institutional Strengthening of Biodiversity Sector in ASEAN (ISB) of German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), which has its office in the Philippines.
The former Director of Tropenbos International Indonesia Programme for the periode of 2003-2007 has various working experiences in international institutions in several countries including ASEAN Member States (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippine, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam), Timor Leste, Japan, Germany, USA, and The Netherlands.
Dicky obtained his BSc from Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia, and MSc and PhD from Faculty of Forestry, Georg-August Universität Göttingen, Germany
Second Advisor Board of Trustee Yayasan Tropenbos Indonesia, Professor and Head of Biological Control Laboratory, Department of Pest and Plant Disease, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Damayanti Buchori is also Adjunct Research Scientist of Columbia University, New York. The entomologist and insect scientist has done various researches especially in beneficial insects such as bees and bio control. She is currently also the Project Director of Kelola Sendang ZSL - Zoological Society of London (ZSL) Indonesia Programme.
She obtained her BSc in Agriculture, Department of Pest and Plant Diseases, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia, her MSc in Entomology from Entomology Department, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, and her Ph.D in Ecology, Evolution and Behaviour, Biology Department, Indiana University at Bloomington, USA.
Haryanto R. Putro
The Supervisory Board member of Yayasan Tropenbos Indonesia Haryanto R. Putro is lecturer and researcher for Faculty of Forestry of Bogor Agriculture University since 1985. He is also a consultant in the formulation of Guideline for Facilitator in Assessment of Management Effectiveness in Protected Area for USAID – Lestari since October 2016 and former consultants for ADB, World Bank, and UNDP.
He obtained his BSc from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia, majoring in Forestry with specialization in Forestry Ecology and Wildlife Management, and his MSc from the same university in the field of Natural Resources and Environmental Management.
