As a Community Forest Governance Facilitator, Hendra Gunawan has expertise in forest management development of village-based landscapes, and how integrated management practices in particular affect people's livelihoods, biodiversity, and forests. His expertise is also supported by his capability to use GIS for spatial planning.
Hendra has a long experience in assisting forest villages for agroforestry, conservation, community forestry, to the marketing chain of forest products and the role of forests as part of a wider landscape.
Hendra is currently in charge of facilitating sustainable land use and inclusive governance in Gunung Tarak Landscape. Activities that he facilitates include participatory mapping, participatory conservation planning and spatial planning (village spatial planning). He also facilitates the formation of wildlife corridors in Gunung Tarak Landscape along with relevant stakeholders, including villagers and NGOs.
